About AGC

Turning Africa's resources into Africa's industries

African Global Consortium (AGC) is a South African-based strategic investment and development company.

Our mandate is simple

We partner with private offices, family offices, governments, corporations and international partners to identify, structure, fund and implement transformative projects across Africa and global markets.

Our mandate is simple: to transform Africa's resources into sustainable industries that create wealth, jobs and long-term value for future generations.

Mission

To build integrated African value chains — from the resource in the ground to the product on the world market — by combining patient capital, industrial capability and genuinely global partnerships.

Vision

An Africa that processes what it produces, manufactures what it consumes, and trades with the world as an equal.

What sets AGC apart

Four commitments we do not trade away

Every mandate is tested against the same four commitments — before capital, before construction, before commitment.

Strategic Investment

Patient, structured capital deployed where it converts resource potential into industrial capacity.

Global Partnerships

A network spanning ten-plus countries, connecting African assets to international capital and technology.

Sustainable Growth

Projects built to operate for decades — grounded in firm power, secured feedstock and real offtake.

Ethical Impact

Governance, disclosure and community commitment held to international standards on every mandate.

How we work

Our Investment Approach

We create value through a disciplined and partnership-driven approach — narrow at the top of the funnel, relentless after commitment.

Stage 01Identify

Screening is deliberately narrow. We test every opportunity against resource quality, infrastructure access, offtake certainty and jurisdictional risk before a single hour of diligence is spent.

Leadership

Accountable for delivery

AGC is led by people who have taken African projects from policy document to financial close.

TR

Dr Tshilidzi Ratshitanga

Executive Chairman

Strategic leader in government, public policy, spatial transformation, smart cities and economic development.

Dr Ratshitanga has spent his career at the intersection of public policy and delivery — shaping spatial transformation and economic development programmes, and translating national industrial strategy into projects that reach financial close.

TS

Thabo Christopher Sefali

Chief Executive Officer

Entrepreneur and programme management specialist with expertise in technology, commodities, investments and international partnerships.

Thabo leads AGC's origination and execution across mining, beneficiation and technology. His background spans large-scale programme management, commodity trading and the structuring of cross-border industrial partnerships.

Governance & ESG

Standards we hold ourselves to

Institutional-grade governance is not a compliance overhead. It is what makes an African project financeable.

Transparency

Independent technical, legal and financial diligence on every transaction — commissioned by AGC and disclosed to all counterparties.

Compliance

KYC, AML, sanctions screening and beneficial-ownership verification applied to every participant, without exception.

Environmental stewardship

IFC Performance Standards and the Equator Principles as the baseline for project development and financing.

Community & labour

Local procurement, employment and skills-transfer commitments written into shareholder agreements, not left to policy documents.

Our values

01

Integrity

We do what we say. Every mandate is governed by disclosure, independent verification and auditable process.

02

Excellence

Institutional-grade structuring and delivery. We hold African projects to global standards, without exception.

03

Innovation

Technology is not a department. It is how we source, price, de-risk and operate every asset we touch.

04

Impact

Wealth that stays. Jobs, skills and industrial capacity that compound long after the transaction closes.

Let's build Africa together

Bring us a mandate that matters

Resource holders, operators, capital partners and governments — if the project builds African industrial capacity, we want to see it.
